Bus Driver Training Procedures

  1. Complete an application.
  2. Obtain permission from the Superintendent to attend Pre-Service Classes.(15 hours)  Training Schedule (2024-2025 School Bus Driver Training Classes)
  3. After completion of the Pre-Service Classes, pick up a permit pack from the License Bureau.
  4. After you obtain your CDL from the License Bureau you will need to contact the Superintendent to set up training with the On-Bus-Instructor.(12 hours)
  5. Take the road test.
  6. Pass the physical exam/hearing test. (Physical form can be obtained in Superintendent's Office.)
  7. Pass pre-employment drug test.
  8. Complete BCII and FBI background checks.   

Starting route pay: $28.49 per hour - Extra Trips: $15.50 per hour

(Please remember to keep all expense receipts and you will be reimbursed the amount allocated by the Master Contract.)
