Ottawa-Glandorf High School salutes those who have served and are currently serving our country

We kicked off the school year with a Military Appreciation Night during the football season. The Ohio National Guard was on site and provided a tunnel for our team to run through along with military camouflaged jerseys.

On Veteran’s Day, The Ottawa-Glandorf High School Student Council sponsored a program for all students, staff, community members and local Veterans.  Guest speakers shared their experiences in the military and what Veteran’s Day means to our youth.  The OGHS choir and band performed patriotic songs for our guests.

Current seniors who had enlisted in the Military, were also recognized for their upcoming service.

After the program, Veterans and their spouses were the honored guests at a luncheon provided by the Student Council and National Honor Society in the high school cafeteria.

Another Military Appreciation Night was celebrated during the basketball season.  Any military members who had previously served, or were currently serving were asked to stand on the floor with the players during the playing of the National Anthem.
