Last week our senior mentors met up with their freshmen mentees for a friendly tower building competition. Students were challenged to build the tallest tower with the provided supplies, but the catch was that they could not use their hands! They accepted and tackled the challenge for some OGHS homecoming fun!

The Stadium Renovation and Stadium Finance Committees continue to meet to revise and adapt plans for the renovation of Titan Stadium. Our latest revisions, while still a work in progress, are getting us closer to our final design. The committees continue to work with Technicon Design Group, Bockrath & Associates Engineering, and the village of Ottawa to refine our plans.
The next phase of the project will include the construction of a new home side concession stand. The current building was an Industrial Arts class project, and it has served us well, but is definitely time for a new facility.
As we continue to raise funds to cover the costs of this project, we are continuing to ask for community support by purchasing our 12th Fan Campaign raffle tickets. The grand prize is $50,000 cash. Please consider purchasing a ticket to help us upgrade our facility as we look to provide future generations with a Home For All Titans.

Our amazing Key Club officers and members are starting the year off strong; they hit the ground running by volunteering at Kid's Fest (thank you Ottawa Cultural Committee for organizing this event). They also lead student/parent tours for our freshmen orientation and helped by decorating the building to welcome OGHS students back to school! Keep up the great work, crew!

Please make sure to reapply for free/reduced meals if you qualify. This must be done each year. After Sept. 15th meal status will change to full pay if no application is received.

Mrs. Flueckiger's PBS class is in the middle of an investigation to determine what happened to cause the demise of Anna Garcia. They are gathering information from the Crime Scene to try to solve the crime! (BTW, this is not a REAL crime scene!)

Our awesome seniors worked hard to welcome incoming freshmen and to teach them the ropes at OGHS. We are excited to officially welcome the class of 2027 to the building!

Due to the expected heat tomorrow, the boys soccer match has been postponed and rescheduled for Saturday, October 7th. The soccer program will host their "Build-a-Burger" night on September 7th.
