Through the generous support of our community, we continue to make progress on the Stadium Renovation Project. We embarked on a multi-phase renovation project beginning in 2022. We are excited that the 2nd of these phases will be completed this by this fall— and we thank everyone who has and continues to support the upgrade our facility as we look to provide future generations with a Home for All Titans. Already, the field turf improvement has been very beneficial to many School programs. We have made ~[60%] progress on the fundraising goal. We are kicking-off the “12th Fan Campaign” and have several options to purchase: ~Physical Ticket – please reach out to Stadium Renovation Committee mebers or the Athletic Office if interested. Tickets can be purchased through cash, check, or Venmo. ~Raffle Box – this is a new platform that we are trialing (used by many major athletic venues) and the details can be found here: https://www.rafflebox.us/raffle/12fan For local businesses – we are again offering 6 tickets for $1,200 which will include advertising on the gymnasium video board during all home games during the fall and winter athletic seasons. This year we will draw the 12th place ($1,000) during the Home Football game on August 23 – so get your tickets soon! Each Home Football game thereafter will draw a $1,000 winner and the final drawings (up to $50,000) will be drawn during the final Home Football game of the season on October 11. Please consider purchasing a ticket to help us upgrade our facility as we look to provide future generations with a Home For All Titans.

No it isn't another space themed "Rock Your School Day" at OE, and this isn't an astronaut in training. This is OG's very own maintenance staff member, Mr. Ben Maag, removing a honey bee swarm from a tree behind Ottawa Elementary this afternoon. Ben has been keeping bees, and selling honey from his own local hives for the last seven years. Ben came back to school after his shift to make sure the bees were safely removed, and relocated to a better spot. Thank you Mr. Maag for buzzing rigtht over to help out!!!

This week Ms. Stoller's senior English IV students are presenting their Capstone Projects on a variety of topics. We even have a few budding young entrepreneurs, who used this project to further refine their own small businesses. The students did a great job, and had to answer questions about costs, obstacles they faced, and lessons they learned as they worked to complete these projects. Phill Ehlers discussed learning to develop his art skills, specifically the process to improve drawing portraits of people by learning how to properly represent specific parts of the human body. Marissa Moreno discussed the skills she has developed, and the lessons she has learned, as she has expanded her jewelry creation company called Dreamy Jewels. Marissa detailed the skills needed to create quality pieces for her customers, and how she plans to expand her business moving forward. Ben Haughn spelled out his experiences in becoming a YouTube content creator, and focused on what he has learned in creating thumbnails and videos through his YouTube site - kwased fam The project topics this week run from business creation, art, and taxidermy to music production, and rebuilding a Foxbody Mustang. These students put a lot of time into these Capstone Projects, and it is amazing what our young people are capable of when they put their minds to it. Great work everyone!!
