Thank you to all who recently participated in the Great Backyard Bird Count. Hundreds of bird feeders were made and our school results were calculated and graphed by Mrs. Ansley's 6th graders. We hope this activity inspired some love for the great outdoors! Kudos to Mr. Brown for getting this event going! 💜🦅💛

This week we had fun celebrating the power of kindness during Radom Acts of Kindness Week. Students participated in various activities including bringing in and donating over 400 canned goods for the Ottawa Food Pantry. Today's theme was KINDNESS NEVER GROWS OLD💜👵👴💛#SpreadKindness💗

Students in Mrs. Imm’s social studies class completed a STEM challenge. The students are currently learning about the burning of the White House during the War of 1812. Students were then given the challenge to “rebuild” a White House structure with only toothpicks and play dough. Students tested their structures to see how much weight their structures could hold. A big shout out to Aubrey Basinger for being the grand champion and to Addalyn Schnipke for a close second place. 💜💛

Ottawa-Glandorf Local Schools has put plans in place for the Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024.

Shout out to Mr. Brown and 7th graders, Gavin Bockrath, Caleb Schroeder, and Mattilyn Maag who recently spoke at a Kiwanis meeting to share information on the upcoming solar eclipse. Gavin Bockrath then created this article to share on social media. 💜🌒☀️💛

Students in Mrs. Imm’s fourth grade class built their bird feeders this week. They are excited to take part in the Great American Backyard Bird Watch this weekend. Students from Mr. Brown’s science class taught the fourth graders how to use a bird watching app to help them record their results.
Big shout out to Mrs. Imm’s mom and husband for helping with the project. 💜🦜💛

Students and parents, please read the letter on expected student behavior at basketball games. Students need to remain in their seats while the game is going on. This continues to be an issue, and we ask for your help and cooperation in helping to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience as they cheer on our Titans.

Congratulations to the House of Integrity for winning the second quarter house challenge. They enjoyed a morning of bowling and games at Westgate Lanes.

A huge thank you to Sara Anderson, owner of Sara’s Sweets, for coming in to talk to our 8th graders today. She shared her career journey and brought in samples of her amazing cookies. 💜🍪💛
