Lady Titan Tennis debuts on new courts
On Monday night, the Lady Titan Tennis team made their home debut on the new tennis courts located at Ottawa Elementary on Putnam Parkway. The Lady Titans set the bar high for future matches by sweeping Kenton 5 - 0 in a WBL contest. Maggie Schmeidebusch cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory in her match, while Myah Bockrath won 6-4, 6-1, and Abby Recker followed up with a 6-1, 6-0 victory. In doubles Megan Gustwiller and Courtney Miller won 6-1, 6-0, and Kasey Inkrott and Madelyn Inkrott won by default.
We also want to thank the Village of Ottawa for partnering with the district on the new courts. The complex has six total courts, with three of those being lined for pickleball as well. Last year the district began planning for this project, and the eventual sale of the Thomas Street property where the old courts were located, by constructing a storage building at Ottawa Elementary. As part of that plan, the district included a tennis storage area and outside access restrooms to be used for our tennis matches.
Keep up the great work ladies, and let's get a lot more W's on the new courts this year!!!!!!
